Those frozen cookie sandwiches you had as a kid are all grown up, with cheesecake filling and a dip of rich chocolate. Just like you, evolved for the better.

What You Need

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

Tbsp. sugar

cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

CHIPS AHOY! Cookies

tub (7 oz.) BAKER'S Milk Chocolate Dipping Chocolate, melted

Make It

BEAT cream cheese and sugar with mixer until well blended. Stir in COOL WHIP.

COVER bottom (flat) side of each of 10 cookies with about 2 Tbsp. cream cheese mixture; top each with second cookie to form sandwich. Dip half of each sandwich in chocolate; gently shake off excess chocolate. Place in single layer in airtight container.

FREEZE 3 hours or until firm.

Prepare as directed, rolling or lightly pressing edges of sandwiches in colored sprinkles, miniature chocolate chips, chopped PLANTERS Nuts, BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut or small candies before freezing.

Creative Leftovers

Store leftover chocolate in refrigerator up to 2 weeks. To remelt, follow directions on label. Use as a dip for additional CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, other varieties of NABISCO Cookies, cut-up fresh fruit or cake cubes.

I made these cookies for a bakesale and the staff bought more than the kids. I also made them with strawberry creamcheese and they were SOOOO GOOD!!!!

These are so easy to make and so good. they were a real hit with the adults and kids alike at a recent family gathering. The only complaints were that I didn't make enough!

The recipe is great! it takes almost no time at all to make them. I had a bunch of people ask me how I made them. I will be making this recipe all summer!!

These cookies are awesome!!! I can't count how many times I have been asked, begged even bribed to make this cookie sandwiches. The only thing I do different is using almond bark.

Super easy to make and fun to serve. I increased the recipe, using the whole tub of cool whip and brick of cream cheese - this is enough filling for 3 bags of cookies. Using a small sized scoop (like pampered chefs) makes adding the filling easy and gives you a perfectly sized filling portion. I will definitly make these again!
