what you need

medium sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed

cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

1/2

cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

Tbsp. flour

tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2

tsp. ground nutmeg

eggs, slightly beaten

tsp. vanilla

unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

1-1/2

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Mix sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, butter, flour, spices, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until blended.

POUR into pastry shell. (Shell will be quite full; filling will not rise over sides.)

BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until top is puffed and browned. (Filling will be soft, but will set while cooling.) Cool on wire rack at least 2 hours. Serve each slice with 2 tablespoons whipped topping.

Very easy to make and was very good. I made this for Thanksgiving and by the end of the week, both pies were gone.

I had been looking for a great sweet potato pie recipe. I searched Food Network and did not like a lot of the ingredients. I found this one and tried it. Well, it will not only be made at Thanksgiving, but all year round. It is so rich & creamy, it feels like velvet in your mouth, Everyone loved it. The only bad thing is, I only made one. Great pie!

This recipe was awesome. It was fun to make with my two young daughters. It was very yummy. Can't wait to make it again!!

I would make this reciple again, but it wasn't sweet enough for my family and friends. I'll just have to add my lil extra's to the dish. But it was edible for my first pie. Very good.
