what you need

medium sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed

cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

1/2

cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

Tbsp. flour

tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2

tsp. ground nutmeg

eggs, slightly beaten

tsp. vanilla

unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

1-1/2

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Mix sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, butter, flour, spices, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until blended.

POUR into pastry shell. (Shell will be quite full; filling will not rise over sides.)

BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until top is puffed and browned. (Filling will be soft, but will set while cooling.) Cool on wire rack at least 2 hours. Serve each slice with 2 tablespoons whipped topping.

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving this year, and i thought that it was wonderful, the nutmeg and cinnamon tasted so great with it, the only problem that i had was that the pie crust got too brown. but other than that no problems , i reccomend this recipe to anyone that loves sweet potato pie.

The pie was really good. If you've been looking for that just right sweet potato pie recipe that's easy to make - this is it! ----- make it even easier by using canned sweet potatoes or yams - 30 oz can.

this pie is wonderful.......easy to make and very tasty. I have made it over and over again. I would recommend it highly.

Very easy to make and delicious! There was a little too much cinnamon and nutmeg for my taste, so I'll go easier on those next time...otherwise, it was just wonderful!

First time making a sweet potato pie. I made it for a Thanksgiving function at work and everyone raved about it! Also, very easy.

I took it to a gathering and everyone loved it and gave it 2 thumbs up, everyone absolutely devoured it.. I loved it and my husband loved it I love this recipe and it was so easy to make.

This pie was a huge hit at our family Thanksgiving. I always do the baking and I wanted to try a new flavor. I've been taking requests ever since.

made this during the holidays and must admit that it was the best of all the others my husband and i were subjected to. i made mine with the "ginger crumb crust", which was fantastic. there was a slight mishap though with the first attempt at the crust and i had to make another one. i will use this recipe again during thanksgiving and christmas.
