It makes up so quickly and such a pretty salad. I could not find the sliced almonds, so I used pecans and broke them into quarters then caramelized them. I have had several ladies call and ask for the recipe. A very delicious salad!

I made this recipe for guests last night and it was a big hit. Instead of using Boston lettuce, I used "green leaf". I would suggest that you caramelize the almonds ahead of time, as it took longer to do this than I expected, so I was glad I had done it in advance. I loved the crunchy taste.

Made this salad for dinner last night after a hard day of working in the yard, everyone loved it! Just the right combination of sweet and tart. It tasted light and fresh, perfect with broiled chicken breasts.

This was good enough to send to my sister. I'll try some of the alternate fruits as soon as they come in season.

The dressing makes the salad. (that dressing makes any thing better) I need to make it now without the sugar. Too many people in my family cannot eat sugar. It was yummy.
