Strawberry Freeze

Strawberry Freeze recipe
Fresh berries in and on whipped, chilled cream cheese would have been enough. But no. We're upping the ante with a chocolate chip cookie crust. Pure heaven.

This was way, way too sweet. I think that if I ever try this recipe again, I will cut the amount of fruit juice concentrate and up the amount of cool whip and strawberries. Overall... not impressed

I had it in the freezer for 6 hours and it never totally froze. it was pretty runny. You have to put it back in the freezer after you take a piece out, don't put it in the fridge after.

My daughter requested this, for her birthday treat. It was easy to make and we all loved the cool refreshing taste. The only thing I would change, would be to skip the 1/2 cup sugar, since the juice concentrate is pretty sweet by itself, and there's sugar in the cool whip and the cookies. We loved the cookie crust, too. I used about 11 cookies in the bottom of my springform pan. I broke up a few of the cookies in the middle, but left most of them whole.

YUM! They were out of plain chocolate chip cookies, so I used white and dark chocolate chunk cookies. I did crush them which made slicing very easy. My family loved it!

Everyone loved this at our family bbq last week. Some of the comments were.."most refreshing dessert I've ever had", "great idea!" , "I love the cookie crust" ,"It tastes like strawberry icecream". I think it took me a total of 3 minutes to put together. I had some strawberries in the fridge. I used the strawberry cool whip. I just put down in a pie plate 7 or 8 cookies we had in a cookie jar, and it was that simple. I don't think you have to have a springform pan for this to look spectacular.

Refreshing recipe. Everyone who ate it loved it. I made a graham cracker crust instead of using the cookies.
