Twisted Strawberry Shortcake

What You Need

pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

qt. (4 cups) cold milk

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

pkg. (12 oz.) store-bought angel food cake, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

1/3

cup orange juice or orange-flavored liqueur

cups sliced fresh strawberries

oz. BAKER'S White Chocolate, grated

Make It

PREPARE pudding mixes with milk in large bowl as directed on package. Gently stir in whipped topping.

PLACE cake cubes in large bowl. Drizzle orange juice over cake, then toss to coat. Place half of the cake cubes in deep glass serving bowl; cover with layers of half each of the pudding mixture, strawberries and chocolate. Top with layers of remaining cake cubes, pudding mixture, strawberries and chocolate.

REFRIGERATE at least 30 min. or until ready to serve. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Prepare as directed, using BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate. Or, substitute your favorite drained canned fruit for the sliced fresh strawberries.

How to Easily Grate the Chocolate

Warm chocolate in the microwave on MEDIUM (50%) for 15 seconds to soften slightly before grating.

I've made it several time and had requests to make it again. I put a tub of Strawberry coolwhip instead of just 2 cups. It's great!!

This dessert was very yummy. It's quick and easy. I impressed my husband and kids. Go easy on the pudding when serving. I put a little too much when I served it.

I DID THIS RECIPE EVERY ONE IM MY FAMILY LOVE IT THEY EVEN ASK FOR THE RECIPE EVEN THE KIDS LOVE IT . SO I TOLD THEM WERE I GOT IT AND I WILL SEND TO EVERY ONE OF THEM THESE RECIPE ..... AND ITS VERY EASY TO DO...

I made this recipe for my daughter's birthday party, everyone loved it! It was very refreshing! I would recommend it to anyone.

Some of my family members thought this was ok tasting, but the cake part was so soggy that I didn't enjoy it at all. It was closer to a bread pudding then a shortcake. It's really pretty though, if I could make it so that the bread wasn't soggy, I would make it again.

This recipe was easy to make and made a wonderful summer time dessert. My whole family enjoyed it. I however used the strawberry flavored whipcream instead of the plain and it gave it a really good flavor. I would highly recommend it.
