What You Need

cups fresh strawberries, divided

1-1/2

cups boiling water

pkg. (3 oz. each) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin

Ice cubes

cup cold water

pkg. (10.75 oz.) prepared pound cake, cut into 10 slices

cups blueberries, divided

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup sugar

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Make It

SLICE 1 cup strawberries; halve remaining strawberries. Set aside. Add boiling water to gelatin mixes in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add ice to cold water to measure 2 cups. Add to gelatin; stir until ice is completely melted. Refrigerate 5 min. or until slightly thickened.

MEANWHILE, line bottom of 13x9-inch dish with cake. Add sliced strawberries and 1 cup blueberries to thickened gelatin; stir gently. Spoon over cake. Refrigerate 4 hours or until gelatin is firm.

BEAT cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with whisk until well blended. Stir in COOL WHIP; spread over gelatin. Arrange strawberry halves on cream cheese mixture to resemble stripes of flag. Add remaining blueberries for stars.

Ever since I made this dessert a few years back, it has become a solid staple for my family's annual 4th of July BBQ. My sister says I cannot come without this dessert!

I didn't get to taste the dessert but the others really liked it. The one issue I had was that the jello did not firm up enough so it became very sloppy and soupy like. I will try it again though.

This is a great Cheesecake, fun to make, very patriotic and very much a crowd pleaser. My friends and family thought I worked so hard to make this (NOT) so needless to say, I will definitely make this again and again.

Help needed first. Ready to make this but have the Flag plastic mold from store jello promotion. You suggest 9x13 dish and pix shows square dish 12x12? My mold is only 11x7. Isn't this too much for recipe? Need some advice.

We made it last year on the 4th of July. It was beautiful and delicious. I will make it for a dinner at the American Legion (how appropriate).

I MAKE THIS BUT USE ANGEL FOOD CAKE INSTEAD OF POUND CAKE. I ALSO USE FAT FREE CREAM CHEESE AND FAT FREE COOL WHIP. MAKING IT THIS WAY WILL MAKE IT FAT FREE. IT'S ALWAYS A WINNER WHEN I MAKE IT!

I made this cake for work and for july 4th. Everyone loved it. One thing, after you stir the ice cubes in the jello, it took about 30 minutes to gel enough to put on top of pound cake. I then let it gel for about 4 hours before putting white layer on. It stayed together beautifully when served, although it didn't last long either time I made it! It disappeared very quickly. I also love that it is patriotic and salutes our country!!!!!!!

This was a very easy dessert to make. My family loved it. I made it on the 4th and it disappeared very quickly. Everything always tastes better with whipped cream!
