It was wonderful and so much fun to decorate!
This recipe was so fantastic! I made it last Fourth of July and since then everyone has been asking me to make it again. I even changed up the recipe to make the colors different for other holidays!
I used sugar-free jello, non-fat cream cheese and non-caloric sweetner to lower the calories.
This dessert was the hit of the party last year! It was gone within minutes and people kept asking me for more - now I know to make 2 this year!!
Use for other occasions just change the decoration and for fun let the kids decorate the top!! Granddaughter is 7 and loved it...
It was fast, real easy and not expensive - I am going to make it again, I got lots of compliments first of all that it looked nice and then that it tasted as good as it looked. I will be trying the pound cake at the bottom also.
Next time I won't use the quick set method. It set too quickly and was hard to manage. Also, using berries which are the same size is critical to the presentation. It was delicious, and garnered lots of attention both times I served it. Ledra
I should have mentioned that the recipe I used called for a bottom layer of pound cake. This gave it substance.
Very easy and delicious, instructions arent' very clear so I ended up using the rest of the cool whip for the top layer. I was pretty sure that's what you were supposed to do anyways, but it didn't really say. Also, the cream cheese layer tends to stick to the blueberry jello layer so I reccomend blending it just before you put it on to make it smoother. <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Mary ~ Thank you for pointing out the omission in the recipe. Yes, the step to spread the top of the cake with the remaining Cool Whip was left out. We will be adding it to the recipe. >>>
