I am planning on trying this recipe for a party. My problem is my cake pan isn't a 12 cup but a six. Should I nitch the whole idea? Just wondering! I'm on my way to the store to get some ingredients.

this is a very creative idea!! the kids loved to help me make this for a party. the icing was a wonderful change from buttercream icing.

In response to the low calorie dieting husband... I made this with Splenda and just beat it with a mixer until it became powdery. It works just the same! Hope that helps.

A comet cup is an ice cream cone. I believe comet is the brand name. It is the shorter cone, not a sugar cone. Hope that helps.

I had no trouble making it. I did not pipe the green frosting down the sides, however. I did use the edge of my spactula to make lines down the pumpkin instead. It looked more like a pumpkin to me this way. It looks perfect!!!! I am going to make this every year from now on. Thanks!!!1

A comet cup is the basic cake ice cream cone cup. You use it for the stem portion on the cake. Insert it upside down in the hole of the cake and ice it with the green frosting.
