I think this recipe is great. the only thing i would change is to just use regular white icing out of the tub instead of going through the trouble of MAKING icing.

I question the 4 cups of sugar for the icing. Mine icing wasn't as smooth as the photo. Plus I wasn't sure if it needed to be refridgerated after I made it. I have put it in the fridge. I think I would use some other kind of icing next time. My 5 year old said it looked great. I made it for a bake sale, so I won't be tasting it, but it looks pretty good. Instead of buying ice cream cones, I went to the local ice cream parlor and they gave me some for free. <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Mary ~ The sugar in the recipe should be powdered, not superfine. We are in the process of changing the recipe. >>>

How easy is that? I've been looking for an idea for my son's 1st birthday party. After hearing that you can make pumpkin shaped cakes, I asked every professional in town if they'd make a pumpkin shaped cake for my son's birthday in October...and they all said no..."Too time consuming". When I saw this and read how easy it was I knew I could do it myself. Instead of the fluted pan, I'll be using two bunt cakes stacked.
