I was really looking forward to making this recipe. I think there was too much allspice. I didn't particularly like it and my fiance hated it. He looked like he was choking on every swallow. I wish it had been better.

Don't forget to add the chicken broth and boil before placing in the food processor like I did! It still turned out good, just a little bumpy.

Outstanding!!!! My husband, Carl, made this recipe for me last night. This soup is smooth, easy on the stomache; aroma pleasant; texture light; taste full not offensive; and is in our "special" recipe folder. I am having it for lunch today at the office.

A very good recipe. To make squash prep easier, poke holes in the shell (like a potato to be baked) and microwave 4 to 5 minutes. The shell will be soft and easy to get off. Saves risk of cutting fingers trying to handle the squash.

I loved this soup. It has a very subtle taste so don't expect more. I did add quite a bit more allspice than called for..personal taste. It freezes very well. Peeling and cutting up the squash was a little tedious, but overall a soup I will make again.

Thick and creamy consistency. Delicious, rich and a breeze to make. I used low fat cream cheese for a lighter option and everyone loved it.

Excellent flavor. Used two cloves of garlic and more chicken broth than called for in the recipe. Then substituted unflavored yogurt for sour cream to cut calories. A very nice simple and healthy way to enjoy a great food -- squash. Cheers

I thought this soup was ok. I may try to make it again but I would try something different when it comes to the spices I'd use. It was very easy to make. I did use my blender and that worked out fine. I wouldn't make it unless you like squash.
