Bruschetta Chicken Bake

Comfort casserole, meet bruschetta. The perfectly balanced bite of tomatoes, garlic, chicken and mozzarella is the inspiration for this hearty dish.

What You Need

can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

1/2

cup water

cloves garlic, minced

1-1/2

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

tsp. dried basil leaves

cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Make It

HEAT oven to 400ºF.

step 1

MIX tomatoes, stuffing mix, water and garlic just until stuffing mix is moistened.

step 2

PLACE chicken in 3-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with basil and cheese.

step 3

TOP with stuffing. Bake 30 min. or until chicken is done.

Substitute

Prepare using STOVE TOP Lower Sodium Stuffing Mix for Chicken.

Make Ahead

Prepare and bake recipe as directed; cool. Refrigerate up to 24 hours. To reheat, spoon each serving onto microwaveable plate. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 min. or until heated through.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with steamed Italian-style vegetables.

This was sooo good! Next time I will add a can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom Soup to make the recipe creamy. The recipe is still great as is.

I mixed the chicken with cream of mushroom soup. This added a little more flavor. I was afraid it would be too dry. It turned out pretty tasty

This dish was wonderful. Instead of using the boneless chicken breast, I used leftover chicken from a store bought roaster, which worked out very well. Instead of 400 for 30 min., I baked at 350 for about 30 min. until heated through. This is a recipe I will definitely use again.

Awesome meal and easy to do. 2nd's and 3rd's were taken and some was left over for lunch. I would make this meal again.

A nice alternative to most chicken and stuffing recipes. We liked it even better when we used the garlic and basil canned tomatoes as well. Even my 4-year-old likes it!
