Chicken Tortilla Soup

Chicken Tortilla Soup recipe
A Southwestern cousin of Mom’s chicken soup, this one has a kick with a crispy topping. And, like its popular relative, it’ll make you feel good all over.

Let's just say I'm in love!!!!!!!!!! This was mmmmmost tastey soup I've ever had..deff can't wait to share with my friends and family!!! YUM!!
My family is very picky. This is something the whole family enjoys!
Just finished fixing this soup for dinner and we all loved it -- even my 6- and 8-year old sons! I made it exactly as the recipe says and wouldn't change a thing. So easy and yummy!
Super easy and really yummy! Instead of on the stove I made it in the crockpot . I also added a can of black beans wich thickened it up a bit. I didn't make my own tortilla strips, just threw in some tortilla chips. Totally going to make again!
I nixed the salsa but substituted more condensed tomato soup and spices. LOVED THIS RECIPE!
Loved the recipe but changed up a few things. I grilled and shredded 2-3 chicken breasts. I added 1 can drained black beans. Instead of frozen, I used 1 can drained shoepeg corn. Also added 1 tbsp. cumin, 1 tsp garlic powder and to make it a little spicy, 1/2 to 1 tbsp cayenne pepper. Topped with sour cream.
I am a 13 year old cook. This recipe was very easy to make, and the whole family loved it(which is a surprise 'cause my brothers don't like corn). My mom said that putting tortillas in soup is like cheap dumplings, and I'm not a big fan of dumplings, so I only added one tortilla. I might add two next time. I also just crumbled tortilla chips on top. And I added chili powder and taco seasoning.
Quick, easy and delicious too. I added black beans and I have used tortilla chips on occasion instead of messing around with tortillas.
i used a can of cream of chicken to thicken it up a bit and added spicy was delicious and a def hit!
I had a real craving for Chicken Tortilla Soup and this hit the spot. I made some changes though. I cooked my chicken and then shredded it. I also omitted the tortilla strips and crumbled Spicy Nacho Doritos on top instead. Next time I think I am going to add a can of black beans. We will be making this again in the future, especially in the winter!
