This soup has become a staple in our home. Any time I have leftover chicken, this is what I make. I add a little more corn, and another tortilla into the soup. The family loves it, and it's sooooo easy!

I made this recipe with a couple of changes. Instead of the salsa, I used Rotel diced tomatoes. The first time I fried the tortilla strips (and they were delicious) but I've since used store bought chips and it's just fine. Both shredded the chicken and chopped it, worked great either way. A great SOUP recipe that doesn't requires hours of preparation.

Excellent soup, so good and so easy. I used canned chicken which worked just fine. I might chose a slightly spicier salsa next time but that would be the only change.

Very good!! Next time, I will also add some black beans. I used rotisserie chicken, and packaged tortilla strips. Easy and delicious!

Awesome recipe!! My family loves this meal and it is super low calorie. I make 4x the amount of the crunch chips for on top and add a whole can of corn.

This was soooo easy and really tasty. Being from TX, I'm a fan of tortilla soup, and have sampled quite a lot. This recipe is a keeper.

This is a wonderful soup! I tripled the recipe to take for a church potluck and it was the hit of the dinner. I did change it a bit however. I used black beans instead of corn because I can not eat whole kernel corn and I made my own chicken broth and used bagged tortilla chips.

Very good, quick, and easy. I added cilantro, cumin, and black beans. I omitted the tortillas and crushed some tortilla chips on top. I also boiled the chicken with mild taco seasonings and shredded it.
