Chicken Tortilla Soup

Chicken Tortilla Soup recipe

A Southwestern cousin of mom’s chicken soup, this one has a little more kick with a crispy topping. And, like its best-loved relative, it’ll make you feel good all over.

This was SOOOO good. I LOVE the mexican gumbo at Qdoba, and this tasted similar. I cooked some white rice and added it to the soup. Deeeee-LISH!

Made this recipe; very easy; can throw in extra ingredients if you like (more chicken/tortillas, etc.) Served it with mexican/jalapeno cornbread.

Great recipe! Really cook and easy to make. I bought a roasted chicken so all I had to do was get the chicken from that. Next time, I'd add onions to the recipe!

Amazing! Tastes just like the restaurants. My husband loved it. I just made it today for lunch and I plan to make again and again. Easy and plenty to serve to others.

This was AMAZING!! I took it to work for lunch and everybody ate it!! I wasn't meaning to share but everyone had to have some it was SOO good ;) Also I added black beans, rice and avocado. The avocado really made a huge difference!! Definitely a top recipe of mine now!!!

We loved it! Next time I would definitely double the recipe, barely enough for two hungry people. I also had trouble making the tortilla chips, so I just used some bagged ones.

I love tortilla soup, and thought might as well give htis one a try. It was pretty good. I added the whole 16 oz jar of salsa to make it a bit more spicy. I then added a few drops of Franks Hot Sauce to my bowl! It tasted so much better this way! I also just crushed already made tortilla chips instead of cutting and baking. In addition I also bought a rotisserie chicken, instead of baking one to save time! It was a huge hit:)
