Very good, would avoid using fat free cream cheese- need the full flavor and fat for it to set right. Had this at a dinner party and eventhough my guests were stuffed I made them try this- they ate everything that was on their plate! You can always find room for dessert with this simple- yet elegant recipe!
Great way to use up pears off my pear tree. It was so good that it didn't last long in my house.
Very easy to make. The crust tasted like short cake and the pears in the cinnamon and sugar topped it all off. My dinner guests were very pleased. Thank you
I absoutely Love this cheesecake!! I think that apples would also work nicely. Will give that a try next time. I also added an extra 1/2 tsp. vanilla and also the cinnamon with the pears. Thank you again for this wonderful recipe.
I added extra cinnamon to the pear layer and substituted walnuts for the almonds. Next time I make it, I'll use less sugar in the pear layer. In my oven, which may run cool, I had to cook the tarte about 20 minutes longer than suggested, but that may be because I think I added more pears than in the recipe (I didn't measure, so am not sure). The guests we had over loved it. I think it would also be good with some raisins in the pear layer.
I made this cake several times and each and every time it comes out perfect,
you could just really taste the cream cheese, but overall, it was very good.
Wonderful, rave reviews! Made it with apples on top and no almonds, tasted great. Also didn't have a springform pan and used a pie plate, turned out delicious. My mom and mother in law want me to bring it for Thanksgiving.
I made this for a company Thanksgiving party last year and it vanished. I have no clue what it tasted like but everyone LOVED it! I will definately make it again this year; actually I will probably make two.
This has become one of my very favorite desserts. I use Splenda (ok?) and Neufchatel cream cheese and it is delicious. I have sent this recipe to several of my friends. Don't ever take it off your web page. Thanks.
