This torte was amazing and the flavors in the recipe just mixed well. I would definetly make this again.

I would suggest to use pears that are a bit under ripe. While slicing the pears they more or less fell apart, so while the torte was very tasty, it was not very eye appealing. Also, the cooking time seems to be very off. I ended up cooking the torte for much longer than the recipe suggested.

I have made this many times and it has become the request of many social functions from card parties and garden clubs to private family functions. It is beautiful to look at and really good regardless if you make a low cal version or the original.

This was so pretty! Everyone loved it, even though some people thought it tasted just like apple pie. It took a LOT longer to cook than the recommendation, though. Could be my oven. In any case, it turned out sweet and delicious, and really did look like it took more work than it did. Yummy!

Very easy to make and delicious. Two pears is enough though. I sliced 4 Anjou pears and that was way too much. I guess I'll have to make another torte now.
