We felt this was a little bland. I even added a bag of frozen veggies- I probably wouldn't make this again. We even threw away the leftovers (and my husband will usually eat ALL leftovers)

I used chicken; I recommend using less sweet and sour sauce

I thought it was kind of bland. If I make it again, I will spice it up somehow, maybe some additional sweet and sour sauce.

It was good, not a fav. I will make again just not often

Very tasty! Next time I think I will try using chicken instead.

I was looking for a recipe printed in the '70, making it from scratch, and it had dark karo syrup(1 cup), then vinegar, ketchup, bell pepper, chunk pineapple, mixed with cubed pork, and serve it over or along side rice. Would you still have it somewhere.I got mine from a mag. ad for Karo. Nothing better , and I lost it . Tank you,

This was a very easy meal to make, had a great taste, however, it seemed to be missing something spicewise. Ypu, I'll will be making this dish again.

This is one of my family's favorite but I found out it is VERY IMPORTANT to use the Kraft Sweet and Sour Sauce. Last time I made it, our local grocery did not have the Kraft brand, I bought another "yellow" sweet and sour sauce and ruined a perfectly good piece of meat, I threw it out, none of us could even stand the smell. Gladly I made it with the Kraft tonight and it is just as great as ever!!

It was okay. It would have been better if i would have NOT put the rice into crockpot. Next time I'll make the rice separate. IThe texture was too mushy. My family didn't like it. It was also a little too sweet.

Great! My husband said this is now his favorite crockpot meal. I made a few small changes: added the pineapple juice (forgot to drain it), some soy sauce, and a dash of ground ginger. Others had warned that it was too sweet so I only added 1/2 the bottle of sweet and sour. I was worried I would have too much liquid, but the rice soaked it all up at the end. I cooked it for about 6 hours on low--- perfect amount of time. Good meal!
