This was the most difficult crust I have ever worked with. Even with the plastic wrap, it fell apart every time I touched it or tried to move it. The end result tasted great, but looked terrible. And forget about getting a slice out in one piece. It looked more like cobbler once it was on a plate. I will use the filling again, but will nix the crust.

This is a very easy pie, but with top-notch taste! I got rave reviews when I brought this to a picnic. The crust was so flaky and delicious and the filling couldn't have been better.

This recipe always excellent for me to make. Looks beautiful, if you follow the tips. My most wanted recipe especially time for picking apples on falls. But I' just wondering if you could give me any idea on how to freeze apple pie if i have more than one. Freezing is a good idea as a handy deserts. What i mean " do i have to bake it first and cool before freezing"? or make the apple pie then freeze then take it out and bake it for 45 to 50 minutes. I need tips please. Thanks in Advance.

I used Braeburn apples. This recipe turned out great! I tried it using the 1/4 cup of brown sugar and it was so tasty! I put apples in lemon juice first. I think the lemon juice is included in the recipe to keep the apples from browning while you roll out the dough. It doesn't really matter what you put it in first, as long as the lemon juice gets on the apples somehow.
