These were really good and easy! I substitued 1/2 pound of Jimmy Dean sausage in place of the ground beef. Mine didn't look as pretty as the picture, but they tasted good. I'll make these again!
Per previous suggestion from another member I used chopped onions and black beans instead of the raisins and nuts. Made the mix and prepared the peppers ahead of time so all i needed to do was fill the peppers and sprinkle some extra cheese. Recipe was great...I think my boyfriend died and went to heaven!
These were excellent. I should have made more.
I fixed this meal with my husband in mind. He LOVES jalapenos. Me personally, I dont like them. I would say this really surprised me how easy it was to fix, and to be honest, it wasnt as spicy as I thought. Thank you, and I hope this helps....
The raisins & almonds didn't appeal to me so I substituted black beans & onion for them & it turned out great! I served them as a main dish w/ corn & Spanish rice on the side. It was a delicious, spicy meal, I will definitely serve it again!
Even my kids loved this! (ages 8-13) The second time I mage this recipe I didn't have raisens or almonds, so I used chopped olives and I also substitured the cheddar for monterey jack cheese. It was great!
I made these for a 4th of July party..they were a huge hit. Everyone at the party has asked for the recipe. Easy to make ahead...great recipe
Yummy, but hot. I love it.
This was great. Really simple. I didn't have any rasins or almonds so I substituted them with breadcrumbs, celery and onions. Just make sure to have somthing to wash them down with because they are spicy.
