My husband generally doesn't like it when I try new recipes, but he fell in love with this one. I love how regal it looks, yet how simple it is to make. The hardest part is splitting the cake layers, which is saying a lot! My daughter and my sisters are getting this recipe. Thanks for a great one! Vi Oven

Although this cake tasted great, it certainly was not as nice as the picture. What is the trick to slicing the layers and then moving them without them breaking apart ? I baked the cake, cooled, then sliced and put each slice on an individual plate covering until the next day when I made the icing, put the cake together (a little messy) and refrigerated before serving.
This cake is very easy and absolutely wonderful!! I highly recommend it with a dollop of Cool Whip! Mmmmm... I'm off to have a slice.... you?
Mmmm! Although I made this as a sheet cake & left out the caramel & nut topping, it was still great! It tastes like fall! Can't wait to make this for parties during the holidays.
The cake was easy to make and very tasteful. My family really enjoy this cake even though they do not like pumpkin.
