This recipe is easy to make, tastes delicious, and looks like it took a lot of effort. Being diabetic I made the cake with a reduced sugar cake mix,1% milk, neufchatel cream cheese and free cool-whip. Can't do much about the powdered sugar. Next time I will remember to use egg-beaters. And I bet I could use apple sauce instead of the oil. My husband loved it and he is the pickiest eater in the world.

This was so yummy! I made it for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. Although, I only used about half the icing mixture and only did two layers instead of the four...it still was great! I will definatly make this every year for thanksgiving!!!

We LOVE this desert so much it's become our annual Thanksgiving desert! It is amazing!! We serve it with the pecans and caramel, but it's just as good without. I also agree with another reader in that it's great the day of, but even better left over.

I made this for a family Thanksgiving and everyone who had it loved it - except my husband! He said he'd rather have pumpkin pie. =0) I did not serve it with the Caramel topping as it would have been too sweet. I think it's also think it was better left over than the day it was made.

Made this cake for a ladies luncheon and it was delicious. Had leftovers several days later and it was still good. Will make it again for Thanksgiving. Highly recommend trying it for any occasion!
