This salad/dessert ( I use it as a salad)has been a huge hit at holiday dinners for several years now. Grandson begs me to make this as he loves it.

What You Need

can (20 oz.) DOLE Crushed Pineapple, undrained

pkg. (3 oz. each) or 1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Raspberry Flavor Gelatin

can (16 oz.) whole berry cranberry sauce

DOLE Apple, chopped

cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Make It

DRAIN pineapple, reserving juice. Remove 1 Tbsp. pineapple; set aside. Add enough cold water to juice to measure 3 cups; pour into saucepan. Bring to boil. Add to dry gelatin mixes in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cranberry sauce. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until slightly thickened.

STIR in remaining pineapple, apples and nuts.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm. Top with reserved pineapple just before serving.

Substitute

Prepare using JELL-O Cherry Flavor Gelatin.

Special Extra

Garnish with apple slices just before serving.

Molded Cranberry-Pineapple Salad

To serve as a molded salad, substitute a 6-cup mold for the serving bowl. Also, use 1 can (8-1/4 oz.) DOLE Crushed Pineapple, 1/3 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts and add enough cold water to the reserved pineapple liquid to measure 2 cups. Makes 10 servings, 1/2 cup each.

Everyone loved this at Thanksgiving and I can see how it could be served anytime of the year. I was asked for the recipe by everyone.

Not only does it help to make the table colorful and attractive, it's a very refreshing and tasty dish to have any time of the year.

When I made this I used sugar free cranberry jello instead of the raspberry. It was so good, it makes a great afternoon treat on a warm day.

I made this for a pot luck and my coworkers just LOVED it! I'm back online to print off copies of the recipe that they have requested. :) The only thing I would change is the fact that I chopped the nuts too finely and it gave it kind of a mealy texture... bigger nuts next time! (I really did pulverize them! LOL).

I served this for Christmas Dinner and everyone loved it. Even one person who was hesitant to eat it because of the cranberries. Then she told her mother to get the recipe. Thanks for the great recipe.

My family loved this, even the ones that don't like cranberries! I used cranberry JELLO instead of raspberry and Pecans instead of walnuts. My family prefers Pecans. This may become a holiday tradition.
