This recipe was so yummy! My cookies never turned brown, but were great anyways. After they had cooled, I put melted white chocolate on the top to add more sweetness. I liked them a lot and plan on taking them to my sons Christmas party at school.

I love this recipe! It is now the only cookie I make for Christmas. I have varied the recipe by using white chocolate chips, dried blueberries, dried apricots, dried flavored cranberries and even peppermint chips instead of white chocolate chips and a dried fruit.

An add in to my previous review, if you experience a dryness to the batch when forming the cookie, add more melted butter! Then it won't be dry, but keep in mind, shortbread is a texture with a slight dryness!

I agree about adding less flour. I only made a half batch and used about 1 & 3/4 cups flour. The cookies turned out quite tasty.

The flavor combination is excellent. However, I may omit a small portion of the flour next time because they were a little too dry and crumbly. I may also add a few more cranberries.
