What You Need

slices white bread, torn into bite-size pieces

lb. bulk sausage, cooked, drained

cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

eggs

cups milk

tsp. salt

1/4

tsp. pepper

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

PLACE bread in 13x9-inch baking pan or casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with sausage and cheese.

BEAT eggs, milk, salt and pepper with whisk until well blended; pour over ingredients in pan.

BAKE 40 to 45 min. or until casserole is set in center and top is lightly browned.

Substitute chopped ham for the cooked sausage.

Purchasing and Storing Eggs

Buy only refrigerated eggs with clean unbroken shells. Open carton and gently move each egg to make sure it is not stuck to the carton because of an unseen crack. Check the Sell-By Date on the carton. Store eggs in their original carton on an inside shelf of the refrigerator as soon as possible after purchasing. Avoid placing near foods with strong odors that can easily be absorbed. For best quality, use within 4 weeks.

The receipe was great and very easy. I added diced tomato, onions and substitued Season All for the salt.

This dish went over well for Christmas brunch. I cooked the sausage and placed the bread, sausage and cheese in the dish in the refriderator the night before to save a little time in the morning. This was quick and satisfying and I'm not a very good cook.

I used "soy sausage" instead of pork sausage to reduce the fat content. It was very good. No one noticed that the "meat" was soy.

Delicious. I halfed the ingredients to make a smaller batch. I also substituted ready made bacon for the sausage, used wheat bread rather than white, and didn't use milk. I will definitely make this again
