What You Need

slices white bread, torn into bite-size pieces

lb. bulk sausage, cooked, drained

cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

eggs

cups milk

tsp. salt

1/4

tsp. pepper

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

PLACE bread in 13x9-inch baking pan or casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with sausage and cheese.

BEAT eggs, milk, salt and pepper with whisk until well blended; pour over ingredients in pan.

BAKE 40 to 45 min. or until casserole is set in center and top is lightly browned.

Substitute chopped ham for the cooked sausage.

Purchasing and Storing Eggs

Buy only refrigerated eggs with clean unbroken shells. Open carton and gently move each egg to make sure it is not stuck to the carton because of an unseen crack. Check the Sell-By Date on the carton. Store eggs in their original carton on an inside shelf of the refrigerator as soon as possible after purchasing. Avoid placing near foods with strong odors that can easily be absorbed. For best quality, use within 4 weeks.

This turned out very good, my only suggestion would be to decrease the bread if you're using a thicker heartier bread. My family liked it though.

I made this recipe this morning for our Ladies' Bible Study group. They LOVED it. Everyone asked for the recipe. I changed the recipe a bit per the recommendations of others that rated the recipe. I substituted 1c sour cream for 1c of the milk and added onion with the sausage. I also baked it for 10 minutes longer than the recipe says because it wasn't quite set. It was so yummy!!!

This recipe is great- the first time I made it was Christmas morning, but now I make it on Sunday evenings and reheat for a quick School Day breakfast. My kids love it! I subsitute bacon for sausage to change it up.

We do not like it,it does not have much of a flavor.It looks like it is not done after 40-45 min so I had to put some foil on it and cook it for another 10 min and it did not look or taste any better.We did not like it.That was alot of money I waste it.

This was our Christmas morning breakfast. Everyone loves it. My husband made it again for my birthday. It goes well with the potato/bacon dish you have in here. I am planning on making it again, perhap for his birthday, but every Christmas morning for sure.
