I loved this recipe, however, the topping instructions were WAY off. If you use this recipe as is, expect to have 17 services, not 24. So, next time I will double the recipe for the topping. However, the 17 that did come out were fantastic!

I made these for a party...and they were delicious! I had a bit of a problem though with not enough batter left over for the topping...but once you add the Cool Whip, you can't tell anyways!

Really good dessert. I made them very diet friendly (cake mix with egg whites and 1 can of diet pop, sugar free pie filling, fat free cool whip), but they still tasted great! Slightly messy, needed napkins or plates to eat them on, but very good!

The first time that I made these, they were such a hit with everyone, I now make them whenever a good yummy cupcake is called for.

I didn't have cherry pie filling on hand, so I substituted maraschino cherries. I drained them and used 3-4 inside for the filling and then 3-4 placed on top. I kept the rest of the recipe the same. They turned out great! I served them to the kids tonight and they were gobbled up!

This recipe was so quick and easy and tastes delicious!! I used Devils Food cake mix for the cupcakes which really went well with the cherries. It is so moist and yummy!! can't wait for everyone else to taste!

Great tasting. I made them for a friend's birthday party because she loves black forest cake. These worked well for the number of people attending. And everyone loved them.
