I made this low sugar by substituting the baking chocolate for an unsweetened cocoa substitute recipe. Instead of putting the pieces of chocolate on top, I topped with raspberries. It was a huge hit at our Valentine party and several people asked for the recipe!

I made this for Thanksgiving , but I made it sugar free for the diabetics in our family. It was wonderful!! Everyone enjoyed it! They depend on me to come up with great desserts, thanks to you, I haven't let them down.

I made this last Christmas and misplaced the hard copy of the recipe. I was so relieved when I found it on the website. It was a big hit! It is quite small so I made it in an 8" pan. Delicious and truly looks more difficult than it is!

I made this for dinner guests and thought I wouldn't be able to serve it. The torte was only 1/2 inch thick. I decided to finish it and the cool whip topping gave it more height. It was delicious and very elegant. It reminds me of a dessert served on a cruise ship. Next time I'm using an 8 inch cake pan.

Very easy! I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. My husband said it was the best dessert I've ever made, and I've made a lot of desserts in the past 25 years. One suggestion: be very careful not to over-cook this or the cake part gets dry. I cooked it for the minimum suggested time. It looked perfect coming out of the oven, but after tasting it I would reduce the baking time by 5 minutes.

I made this torte for Thanksgiving. It was a HUGE hit! My inlaws thought it was from a fancy bakery! I warmed the coolwhip which at first appeared to be too long(30 seconds). It came out very soupy! I still continued with mixing it with the melted chocolate squares. It ended up being this delicous frosting that I actually thnk tasted better! I have been asked to make it again for Christmas!
