I made this for dinner tonight. I made it different than the directions too. I made the mac & cheese alone, cooking the noodles for 5 minutes to avoid mushy noodles. I skipped the tomatoes & used the rest of the frozen spaghetti sauce that I had. We used frozen carrots & peas to give it an additional vegetable. We also used a marble cheddar blend along with the mozzarella to make it more cheesy.

Pretty good :) I make it with the mac and cheese that has cheese sauce instead of powder. I use soy crumbles instead of beef. Have also used ground turkey when I make it for other people. I use fire roasted tomatoes instead of regular ones. I think i'll add some diced carrots next time as well.

I would cook the macaroni noodles before putting them in next time.

I have made this recipe many times. Its really great! The only thing I change is I cut up the tomatoes, because I don't care for big chunks of tomato. Its very cheap and easy to make. My boyfriend really likes it.

Great weeknight fix, especially for kids. Great way to sneak in those veggies. As always, you need to add spices. I added salt, pepper and crushed red pepper. I also chopped some onion and garlic and added it to the pot. This is perfect when you don't have time to go to the store as all these items are pantry staples!
