It looks gorgeous, and it tastes great, though next time I will probably make the cake from scratch, as I'm not a huge fan of box cake. But it was still a huge hit, either way!

I have made this three times and have used different candies such as Reeses Peanut Butter Cups & Butterfinger. They were all delicious. This has become a Thanksgiving dessert tradition in my family.
I wish I could give this recipe more stars. This is so simple but so delicious and such a crowd pleaser. I've always been hesitant to make trifles because they looked messy, but this actually looked beautiful with all the layers and the toffee on top. I added a bit of cool whip to the pudding mixture to thicken it up so it was more like a mousse. Next time I might add in some fresh raspberries and brush the cake with liqueur. Perfect for summer holidays and get togethers.

I took the advice from another review and used Devil's food cake as well as I substituted Butterfinger for the candy - it was delicious! I think the cake is a bit wet with the pudding in a liquid state but my guests loved it. Next time I am going to letting the pudding thicken up a bit before adding it in.
I made this for Christmas Eve dessert and everyone loved it and it was so easy to make!!!

EASY!! This looked beautiful and got lots of compliments. The taste was exactly what you'd expect...nothing out of the ordinary but a good dessert when you don't want to invest much time or effort. I might try browines instead of cake next time or possibly switch up the candy bars. There are endless possibilities you could try.
