the life savers don't sick to the cookies even with egg and or butter topped on the cookie. I made another batch and put the life savers on in the last two min. of baking and they melted to a stained glass look. The kids loved them. I found the dough is easier to work with with floured surface and not rolled out as thin as the recipe calls for. This dough is not sugary so it makes the perfect dough for frosted or sugar topped cookies.

It has less flavor then a regular surgar cookie, so I don't see making this and then having to use cream cheese that didn't really add anthing. I will not use this again.

I had an extremely hard time rolling out the dough (even with a very floury surface!). Transferring the cut-outs to the cookie sheets was a nightmare, too.

cookie dough did not roll out very well; hard to transfer cutout shapes to cookie sheets.

The cookies were tasty. But--the crushed lifesaver candies were a bad idea. They did not stick to the cookies at all. I ended up just decorating them with sprinkles and icing.

I made these last yar but instead of using life savers, I used crushed candy canes for a festive flair. Overall, they were very good!

It was pretty easy to make and the kids were able to help with the recipe! It kept well over-night in the fridge too.
