A couple good additions are your favorite instant pudding to the whipped topping for more flavor variation and mixing canned soda with the gelatin instead of water!

YUM-may!!! Probably my favorite cake. I've made this cake several times. Everyone loves it! Have only tried white cake-cherry or strawberry Jell-O. It is soooooooooooo easy! To make it lower-fat use light Cool Whip and substitute unsweetened applesauce for oil when baking the cake. The 2 layers can slide. It looks cool made in a 13x9 in. pan. Invert onto a square platter or cookie sheet & frost. Looking forward to having it soon!!

One of the best tasting cakes I've had. However, no matter how many times I make it, it NEVER looks like the picture. The jello just tints the entire cake with color instead of getting those pretty lines. No matter, it still tastes great and everyone loves it. Simple & delicious.

Talk about easy and delicious! My mother has made these cakes for years. We bake the cake in a 9 x 13 pan and swirl two different flavors of jello over the cake to make it even more colorful. It has always been a hit at spring cook outs.

I used sugar free jello and applesauce instead of oil to make my cake. Delicious! I used a white cake mix and raspberry jello. I topped it with Cool whip Free and fresh raspberries.
