This cake is good, but it doesn't look like the picture. The jello turned the whole cake pink. Other than that the taste is the same as a regular boxed cake.

I made this cake once last year and everyone loved it. There some really picky eaters in my party and they all loved it. It is definatley worth waiting 4 1/2 hours to finish. It was amazing. I made yellow cake with strawberry jell-o.

This is an excellent variation of a cake I loved growing up. My mother's version is made using a single layer, and after the jello has been 'poked' through she drizzles icing made with powdered sugar over it all, which gives the cake a very nice sweet-sour taste! I enjoy both versions of this dessert!

I have made this cake for years. I make it as a sheet cake with jello and some times with regular, not instant, chocolate pudding. the grand children and great grandchildren eat it like cookies, without any icing or topping. Is great in the summer time with a nice cold glass of milk, for the kiddies that is, I myself eat it for snack time with a cup of coffee. every thing old is new again. love your web site and the way you manage to come up with so many great doable ideas.
