I made this recipe yesterday. And the cake doesn't look like on the picture at all.Also you can't tast the yello in the cake. Don't know what I did wrong.But I will try it again another time
not extremely easy to make, i made a mess trying to pour the gelatin over the cakes. the end result is great though. this is the first cake that my family has eaten the whole thing.
The cake was fantastic the night of the event as well as 3 days later after it has been refrigerated.
My Grandmother made this so long ago. I forgot how she did it now I remember and I will make this for mu children.
My mom and I have been making this recipe for years. It's delicious and perfect for summer, because it's a lighter dessert. You can bake it in a rectangular pan, and if the pan is made of glass, you don't have to bother with taking it out just spread the cool whip on top. Keep it reigerated.
this cake was very easy to make. i made the cake for the kids in my aunts daycare and they loved it because of the combination of cake and jello. One of the mothers of one of the children was very impressed and she wanted to try the cake out for herself. very good cake.
great with white cake and apricot jello , and a little grated orange rind
This is one my son loved helping with. He loves to pour things. This is a family favoriet.
I make a jello cake just like this all the time. My step-mother taught me, and its so easy but so good. The only difference between the cake I make and this is the icing. We take the Cool Whip and put it in a big mixing bowl and fold in a package of pudding. We usually use a white cake and flavor it with the jello/pudding combo. For instance we would use lime jello with lemon pudding, strawberry jello with banana pudding, or my favorite is raspberry jello with white chocolate pudding.
I just wanted to let you know that I have been making the jello cake for over 20 years I found the recipe in a family circle magazine and have spoiled everyone that I have made it for up to and including my 8 year old grandson who loves Grandmothers jello cake
