I used strawberry jello. It made the cake so moist. At first I thought I was ruining the cake by pouring the liquid on it but it firmed up in the refrigerator. For the frosting I mixed 1 cup milk and 1 package vanilla pudding mix with a whisk for 2 minutes then stirred in 3 cups Cool Whip. It was very light and fluffy

I make this using sugar free jello. I use either cool whip or cool whip mixed with 1/2 can of frosting.

this is my favorite cake recipe, it's so good! i use white cake with only one package of strawberry jello, bake in a 13x9, frost with cool whip frosting (vanilla pudding mix, milk, cool whip, & vanilla) then I top it with strawberry topping from a no bake cheesecake! everyone thats tried it LOVED it!

Am I the only one who feels like the amount of jell-o is way too much for the amount of cake? I felt like it should have been cut in half....

I have been making this cake for years, my kids and husband love it. As a fun twist on holidays I change up the colors of the jello like for Christmas I use strawberry and lime, 4th of July I use a red and blue jello, and Holloween gets orange and green, its a lot of fun and yummy however I make it.

I've made this cake twice and it was amazing both times. First time I made a Lemon Cake with Raspberry Jell-o and the second time was chocolate cake with black cherry jell-o. If you make this one you HAVE to do chocolate/cherry. It is DIVINE!
