What You Need

NILLA Wafers, finely crushed (about 1-1/3 cups)

cup sugar, divided

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

tsp. grated lemon zest

eggs

1/4

cup lemon juice

Tbsp. flour

1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/4

tsp. salt

1/3

cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix wafer crumbs, 1/4 cup of the sugar, the butter and lemon peel until well blended. Press firmly into 8-inch square baking pan. Bake 8 min.

BEAT eggs and remaining 3/4 cup sugar in small bowl with wire whisk until thickened and well blended. Add lemon juice, flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Pour over crust; sprinkle with coconut.

BAKE 25 to 30 min. or until center is set and top is lightly browned. Cool completely. Cover and refrigerate several hours or until chilled before cutting to serve. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

They turned out flat as a pancake, they didn't rise, and they had the consistancy of rubber. I do not reccomend this recipe.

Everyone loved these bars, but making them (the removing them from the pan and cutting them) was such a pain that I won't be making these puppies again!

Very messy. Dose not look like the picture. Taste good though. Would not make this again.

Not as good as it looks. It was mushy, too sweet, just not great.

Was good, but was a bit too sweet for my taste. I might make it again, but with a bit less sugar.

Made these for a bridal shower and everyone loved them. They are a bit sweet so you can't eat a lot at once but very tasty, everyone wanted the recipe.

I made this as a pie (graham cracker crust) and it was excellent. Everybody loved it! I'm planning to make it again for a wedding reception and can't wait to hear what guests think of it!
