Cheddar Apple Pie Dip

What You Need

1/4

cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4

tsp. ground cinnamon

each: red and green apple, finely chopped (about 2 cups)

1/2

cup PLANTERS Walnut Pieces, coarsely chopped

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

WHEAT THINS Original Snacks

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add apples and walnuts; toss until evenly coated. Set aside.

MIX cream cheese and Cheddar cheese in medium bowl. Add sour cream; stir until well blended. Spread into 9-inch pie plate; top with apple mixture.

BAKE 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve with WHEAT THINS.

Melt in your Mouth - To DIE for -DELICIOUS! I was skeptical to try this recipe but it had such high ratings that I gave it a try - and it will be a new favorite for me to take to gatherings! I did add a little extra brown sugar - and although reheated leftover portions are good, it is much better fresh out of the oven! The wheat thins are just Perfect in this combination!

THIS SO-O-O REMINDED ME OF AUTUMN AND THOSE WONDERFUL CRISP APPLES THAT THE SEASON GIVES US. THE RECIPE WAS VERY EASY TO MAKE AND THE BIGGEST HIT AT THE FAREWELL PARTY FOR A CO-WORKER. SO SURE WAS I THAT ALL WOULD LIKE IT, I HAD COPIES OF THE RECIPE FOR ALL WHO WERE THERE!

I made this for a pot lucky party and it was a hit. I was intrigued with the ingredients and had to try it. It has the great taste of apple pie without all the crust. I have made it several times since.

I've made this for a few parties and everytime I was complemented by everyone. I also never had any leftovers to bring home!

This is so yummy! I have a hard time not eating it all myself. People ask me to bring it everywhere I go, and it is easy to prepare ahead of time to bring. Honestly, wow, this is good!!!

I made this recipe for a neighborhood Christmas party.Everyone wanted the recipe.It was the most popular appetizer there! I used an extra red apple,increased the amount of brown sugar,and I used allspice instead of the cinnamon.It was very easy to make. Give it a try!
