This gave the roast a very nice flavor and was super easy. I only baked it at 350 and did not cook it for the almost three hours they suggested...I just baked it for about 40 min. a lb. and left it uncovered. I think if you roasted it according to the directions, you would have shoe leather instead of dinner.

The cream sauce was delicious. I usually make my pot roasts in my crock pot but this recipe is worth the effort.

So easy to make. Highly recommend a meat thermometer. Even tastes great on sandwiches the next day!

i didn't make the sauce-had gravy. only marinated with dressing for 2 hrs. lean more towards cooking for 1.25 hrs.
