Very easy to make. I got lots of comments about how good it was. I liked the candy cane flavor, it wasn't over-powering at all! It will be on my table again next Christmas!!

I made this several times during the holidays and I never got to bring any home! People just raved over it. Not hard to make at all. Instead of crushed candy canes for topping I used colored sprinkles.

pretty good. I'm not a real big cheescake fan unless i've got plenty of fruit to go with it, but this isn't too bad. Made it for Christmas and my grandma loooooved it!!! Most of us thought the candy canes should be chopped finer, so it's pretty much dust and no chunks, some preferred it without any candy canes.

I HAVE NEVER MADE A CHEESE CAKE BEFORE AND I FOUND THIS VERY EASY TO MAKE. THE COMPLIMENTS I RECIEVED ON THIS WERE FANTASIC. IN FACT MY HUSBAND DOESN'T LIKE CHEESE CAKE, HE TRIED THIS AND SAID HE WOULD EAT IT ANYTIME THAT I MADE IT. ONE OF THE WOMEN AT THE HOLIDAY PARTY I TOOK THIS TO WAS GOING TO MAKE IT FOR ANOTHER PARTY AND NOW THAT SHE HAS TRIED SHE CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE FOR HER PARTY.

Good, simple cheesecake. Won't bowl anyone over but doesn't take two years in the kitchen either! I did not use the cool whip because I forgot to buy it, but just sprinkled the candy canes right onto the cake after baking. I also put some melt-in-your-mouth (not hard) candy mints on top as decoration. Went over well at a Christmas party. I did not find the peppermint or white chocolate flavours strong at all - just a plain, tasty cheesecake.

This recipe made major waves at my in law's Thanksgiving party. Most everyone found something to love, the kids liked the crunched up candy canes, the adults the smooth cheesecake, and the little ones the light whipped cream topping that was perfect for smearing! ;o) Next time though, I plan on substituting vanilla for the peppermint extract, as the extract created a little *too* much candy cane flavor. Overall it was a great cheesecake to take to a party.

I made this recipe three times. The first time I got it from a Kraft calender and in the instructions I think it said to put some of the chopped candy canes INSIDE the mixture instead of only acting as a garnish. If you do that, then the cake will have a hint of peppermint inside. But somehow the instructions on this website are different from that of the calender's.
