Quite simply, the only lasagna recipe you'll ever need. With an ooey gooey cheesy melt, ground beef and marinara, it's a tried and true crowd-pleaser.

EVERYONE, even my picky eater loves this! Only thing different is I added half a package of neufchatel cheese to the mixture. Made it a little more cheesy like. My husband doesn't get tired of this recipe!

This recipe is great, and it will be my go to lasagna recipe from now on. I made a few changes to the recipe. I cooked 2 sweet Italian sausages (without the casing), 3 garlic cloves, and 3 small onions with the ground beef. I added 1/2 tsp of fennel and Italian herbs to the ricotta mixture. I added 10 oz of thawed, frozen spinach to the layers. I was only able to use 9 lasagna noodles (3 layers total). It was soupy when I took it out of the oven after an hour, but after letting it sit 15 minutes, it was the perfect consistency. I will definitely be making this again!

Super easy and yummy. I've been making this recipe for years. TIP - instead of 1 cup of water, use an additional 1 cup of sauce. Otherwise, too watery!

WallyB07: To spice this up we always add a couple of spicy Italian sausage to the hamburger before browning (removing the skins) and a couple of dashes of cayenne, some diced bell pepper & onion sauteed in the sauce make such a difference. A good recipe, just needs a little tweaking.

Recipe was easy to follow for a first timer! I added some spice to the mix by throwing in some extra garlic to the cheese mixture. For the size of the dish two pounds of ground beef was idea for us. Otherwise perfect.

Hmmm good starter recipe. Next time I'll add some onion and perhaps some spinach. I did use a mild pork sausage instead of hamburger as most of the reviews online suggested. A good keeper for certain, just needs a few tweaks to make it amazing.

Love this - instead of chopped meat use hot Italian sausage. Definitely takes it up a notch
