Excellent soup!
I thought it was very good with these simple changes; I left out one can of broth. I added one can of cheddar cheese condensed soup, and a clove of garlic. I also used regular rice by cooking it part way before i added it but that shouldn't change the taste. I also didn't puree it because that didn't sound good to me.
The soup was very bland
Too watery, too bland, waste of time and ingredients.
I've made this issue on several occasions since I received the food and family issue it came in. It is so good. :)
Not quite like the restaurant-style soup I was looking for. I think the nutmeg made it a little too sweet. Perhaps a little tweaking of ingredients would help.
Like a lot of others, I added a few things to this recipe. My husband and I are cheese lovers, so I added more cheese than called for, I also sauteed celery with my onions. Added salt and pepper to taste. Overall, it was a good soup and I will make it again.
I would give this 1 star if it wasn't for my doctoring it up. I add a can of Cheese Soup, shredded cheddar cheese (or cubed) before I bring to a boil. It makes it thicker and tastier. I once made it without the soup and it came out bland... it made that big of a differance! This is my family's favorite cold night soup! Yum!
What a disappointment! The soup came out to have a very grainy texture and was very bland. For the time it took to prepare, the outcome was definitely not worth it. This was the first Kraft recipe I tried that I didn't like.
This just wasn't the same as restaurant style broccoli cheese soup. It seemed to have an unpleasant texture and the taste wasn't all that pleasant. It wasn't awful, but I didn't finish my food and will not make it again.
