Good recipe and not too hard to make.
one of the best casseroles I've made. good portions of cheese, and ham. Green onions are a must in this dish.
HUGE, HUGE hit when my wife made it. Yes, this is actually a review by a husband. My son and I are big time potato eaters. Baked, scalloped, fried , french fries, tater tots, etc. My wife found this recipe on Kraft and decided to make it. It was literally eaten up the first time with hardly any leftovers. She has since made it for other dinner events with just the same results. She does do one thing different from the recipe, she does not add the green onions as I am allergic to them.
We used leftover ham in this. It was a great way to use up leftovers. I added mashed the potatoes/ham & velveeta, then put a layer of sharp cheddar and the a layer of the sliced potatoes covered with parm cheese. VERY VERY GOOD! Definately a keeper!
BIG HIT at our house both with the kids and my hubby and with two other couples who were over for dinner the night I made this. Great recipe and very easy to make.
We liked it better when we substituted the chooped ham for cubed ham.
This was a simple recipe to make, I cut the recipe in half apart from the ham and it was perfect for just me and my husband, with just a little leftover! It's like a mashed potato casserole. Taste great and would make again!
It took awhile to prep and what I ended up with was a 9 x 13 pan of mashed potatoes with chunks of ham. Too much work for the end result to be so blah.
I used the whole one pound package of smoked sausage and the whole family loved it. This has such good flavor with the velveeta cheese. I will make this again.
