My husband loves shepherds pie, and loved this recipe. I added a biscuit crust to the top - put the potatoes on the bottom, topped with the meat/vegs, then poured a mix of 2 c biscuit mix w/ 1 c milk on top. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. It's SO good!

family loved it, this is great for kids who hate veggies. I hate carrots and the potatoes cover them so well, i'm sure any mom could get their kids to like this. My nephew hates peas and even he ate it.

I would make this recipe again with a bit more spice or something. It was a little bland. It's a good way to use up leftovers, though.

I made my potatoes a little differently. I used baby red potatoes which were too small to peel so I mashed them with the skins on, they were more like smashed potatoes which were really good. I did forget to add the garlic but I will add it the next time I make it.

My husband really liked it. I thought it was so-so. It's really easy to make, though (even making real mashed potatoes), so I will probably do it again.
