Basic recipe is very good, but I made adjustments. I used almost 2 lbs of ground beef & used 1 10oz box of mixed veggies. Recipe calls for 1 lbd beef & 4C veggies. 8C veggies seemed WAAAY too much veggies for this & I was right. A 10 oz box was more than enough. Also made the mashed potatoes with butter & milk instead of sour cream. Very good, but next time it needs more seasoning. Found it very bland the way the recipe calls for.

The updated shepards pie is even better than the old! We love this and make it often!!

Very good and easy. Makes great leftovers. I added onion when I browned the meat and added half a packet of McCormick meatloaf seasoning. Otherwise it was a little bland.

I add baked beans and it adds the little extra flavor I'm looking for!

I use gravy mix instead of beef broth, saute onions and garlic with meat, and use cream cheese in the potatoes. It is very tasty that way.

This was very bland. I think it would definitely be better with onion and some added spices. I would not follow this recipe again.

I made this at home for my parents. My dad loved it! I substituted some brown gravy for the beef broth and it turned out really well.

Easy to make, easy to eat.

This recipe was simple to make and very tasty. There are a lot of picky eaters in my family; my dad ate 4 servings alone and my 78 year old grandmother who is the biggest critic loved it as well.

I have tried this recipe twice. The first time I prepared as directed and it was a little bland. The second time I added one packet of Good Seasonings salad dressing mix to the meat mixture and kept everything else the same. It was great! My husband even took the leftovers for lunch! This one is a keeper!
