Hit with the family. Used suggestion of using corn bread mix on the bottom of dish and onion in the meat as I cooked it. Thanks for the suggestions they made it a hit. Will make again.

Instead of sour cream in the mashed potatoes, I used a package of cream cheese, and the garlic - added some salt and pepper in their as well. I used an onion in the meat as it was browning with some seasonings in the meat and mixed veggies. I put extra sharp cheddar cheese on top of the mashed potato mix. A very good comfort food - kids loved it.

This was so easy and tasty! My family loved it. My husband had never heard of Shepards Pie before, but he really did enjoy it! I did add salt and pepper to the beef while I was cooking it to add some flavor to the meat. I will make it again! :)

Very good recipe. It was really easy to make - not the most flavorful - but that can be solved by a few herbs. Would definately make again!

This recipe is AWESOME! It's a hearty and very satisfying recipe that I will definitely be making again! My husband likes Sheperds Pie and I was never a big fan of it, but this really is good!

Definite 5 star! Added a bit of Worchester sauce for kick. The real instead of packaged mashed potatoes make all the difference in the world and this recipe for mashed potatoes is great all by themselves.

After reading other comments, I used some of the suggestions. I sauteed onions with the ground beef for more flavor, and also made it easier by using the boxed garlic mashed potatoes. I used both potato pouches, so increased it to a 9x13 pan with 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef. I also added 2 T. of barbeque sauce. Very good! Would definitely make it again!!

I made it with one cup fresh broccoli, one cup colliflower, one cup mushrooms and one cup onions. I also made it a second time and substituted one cup sour cream for the cottage cheese, and that turned out pretty good as well
