Next time I make this, I'll make it a day ahead and reheat it. It was good the first night, but excellent the second night!

I deleted the flour, ketchup, broth and garlic and just added a jar of salsa. Which my family just loved.

Made this last night for my husband and I. It was not bad at all. My husband wasn't looking forward to it, but he liked it. We also had enough for leftovers for lunches, which is always good. I also added Worchestire sauce to the meat for some extra flavor.

I made this recipe for my husband and he loved it. I baked a layer of corn bread mix over the meat mixture and then added the mashed potato mix. It was a big hit with my family.

Lots of steps but easy to put together. My picky eaters enjoyed it. It's great for a "make ahead" day. I'll make it again, but only if I have time.

This recipe is great... If you want to try something a little different though buy a box of cornbread mix... follow the directions for it on the box... spoon it into your dish and then continue on with the recipe.

My elderly mother is very finicky when it comes to eating and eats very little. I made this receipe and she ate two large platefuls in one sitting. I also served it to some friends who liked it quite well. I found it very easy to make and enjoyed it as well.
