This is a very simple and quick recipe and my family loved it. You do have to add some of your own touches with the seasoning as your cooking. I used some of the basics..garlic salt, pepper, salt (and a touch of Montreal steak seasoning) I will be making this recipe again soon!!

This was just good. Wasn't overly impressed. I served it over some rice.

I love this recipe! My husband is a real meat and potatoes kind of guy and he begs me to cook this stir-fry and now, I have to make it for my in-laws!

This tasted like stew without the gravy. It was VERY bland. None of us could finish it. I was disappointed with how this turned out.

The trick to most recipes that are like this is to season how your family likes it. I learned that the trick is to layer your seasoning, like chefs do. When cooking the meat, season it someway. I use garlic powder, pepper and a little salt. Then when you add the potatoes and carrot, season them how you like. Finally, before you add the dressing, season the onions and mushrooms and meat again. Not too much, just to add flavor. Then add the dressing. The reason that many have said that it turns out like a stew is that your burner needs to be on high during the last steps of adding the meat back, onions and mushrooms. That allows the extra water in the dish to evaporate and the dressing to concentrate. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed this meal!

I fried the potatoes & carrots up a bit before simmering...should only simmer for 8-10 minutes if I do this again
