lb. extra lean ground beef

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

medium onion, finely chopped

egg whites

cups water, divided

Tbsp. oil

1/2

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4

tsp. black pepper

Make It

MIX meat, stuffing mix, onion, egg whites and 1-1/2 cups of the water until well blended. Shape into 8 (5-inch) patties.

HEAT oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add patties; cook 6 min. on each side or until cooked through and golden brown on both sides. Drain fat from skillet.

COMBINE barbecue sauce, remaining 1/2 cup water, the Worcestershire sauce and pepper; pour evenly over patties. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook an additional 5 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened and heated through.

Substitute

Substitute ground chicken, ground pork or thawed frozen LOUIS RICH Pure Ground Turkey for the ground beef.

I made my own sauce/gravy for this that is amazing. I used 2 cans beef gravy, one can cream of mushroom soup, 1tsp worst sauce, and 1/2 tsp garlic. Let it simmer on the stove, then coat the patties and put in an oven for 20 minutes. **I only cooked the patties for 3 minutes each side and let them finish in the oven. Excellent over noodles.

I thought it tasted more like meatloaf than salisbury steak, but it was still good. I left a couple patties plain without the sauce, and I think I liked them better. I Ate one on bread the next day as a sandwich, and it was really good.

Very good, have made several times. We only need 4 patties at a time so I freeze half for a quick dinner another time.

Loved this simple recipe! I did use a jar of gravy instead of the bbq sauce. The whole family enjoyed it and I will definitely make this again.

Well i have a very pickey 7 year old and i made this and my little girl made a happy plate, i can not beleve how good it was, and took no time at all to prepare!!!!! score one for a meal i can make during the week

it was ok the first time i made it, but the second time i added garlic powder and instead of bbq sauce i used beef gravy !

We all liked it but it wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. I'll definitely make it again but with a little variation.

I made this recipe on a week night. It was quick and easy. It is not the best salisbury steak I've had but it was good. I added extra garlic to it.
