Chocolate Truffle Pie

There is nothing like the rich, dense filling of a truffle when you're in the mood for chocolate...and you'll love how that fantastic flavor translates to this creamy pie.

What You Need

2-1/2

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (10 oz.), broken into pieces

1/2

cup whipping cream

eggs

1/2

cup sugar

1/4

cup flour

cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

MICROWAVE chocolate and cream in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted; stir until completely melted. Cool.

WHISK in eggs, sugar and flour. Pour into 9-inch pie plate sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 35 min. or until edge of pie is puffed but center is still slightly soft; cool. Serve topped with COOL WHIP.

Special Extra

To add a decorative powdered sugar garnish, place stencil on top of cooled pie. Use wire mesh sifter to sprinkle powdered sugar evenly over stencil. Carefully remove stencil to reveal the show-stopping garnish on pie.

Make Ahead

Cover cooled pie and freeze up to 1 week. Thaw in refrigerator before serving.

This is a truffle lovers heaven, but I made this recipe for Thanksgiving, and unfortunately nearly no one in my family quite appreciates the amazing flavor and sometimes bitter-sweetness of truffles, so it wasn't a big hit. I, on the other hand, love truffles, so I thought it was really very good. I recommend it to truffle lovers.

I pride myself on making holiday desserts. I could not have been more disappointed in this one! It was extremely dry and not very good. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone.

This was wonderful for all of the dark chocolate eaters (like myself). It was so yummy and rich. It was also very easy to make.

I made this cake for Thanksgiving! First, I couldn't believe how easy it was to make and it was all from scratch. It was a real hit with my family. There was none left for me to take back home with me!

This recipe is very tasty and extremely easy to make. It is not overly sweet or too rich, and has a perfect chocolate flavor. I highly recommend it!

This was rich and decadent, yes, but not amazing. Next time I would make chocolate cheesecake if I wanted the richness, and a brownie if I just wanted a chocolate treat. Expensive to make for what it was.

My nine year old son actually made this, not me. (And he made homemade whipped cream, sorry Kraft) I raved about it so much that he made it as a surprise for my birthday and he is making to bring to Thanksgiving dinner.

oh my goodness!! -- all i have to say is superb!! this is heavenly!! -- i just made it for thanksgiving tomorrow and i'm so glad i made three (of course i had to go ahead and try a slice)!! -- i think that they will be gone in no time~!--i did the stencil w/ powdered sugar thing and it looks soooo gourmet and professionaly done! thanks, kraft foods for the great recipe!! i definitely recommend this!

This recipe was soo easy to make and was absolutely delicious.. It is very rich, so every bite was better with canned whipped cream... and i used a 9in. deep dish ready made pie crust.. It was absolutely wonderful.....
