Easy Layered Cabbage Casserole recipe
Casseroles are easy. Stuffing cabbage is hard. In this recipe, you get stuffed cabbage flavor with casserole simplicity. (You're welcome!)

Used Buffalo and brown rice. We all loved it!
This was excellant. My children enjoyed it. Would absolutely make again.
My family loved this. I changed it a little bit. I used half a cup of the dressing and I put 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese on the top layer.
I intend to make it tomorrow again. I made it for guests this week, and they loved it!!
Our family likes cabbage so I tried this and it was a HUGE hit. It was also very easy and it tasted great left over too.I too changed the recipe after reading the other comments. I used a half cup of Kraft Light Done Right Italian Dressing. This dish is also economical and just plain Yummy!!!
we loved this recipe, im trading it for my cabbage roll recipe. i add 1/2 cup of the zesty italian dressing instead of 1/4 cup and top it off with sour cream. cabbage rolls move over.
I changed the recipe slightly, because the first time I made it as this recipe calls for my family did not like it. I would love to share my ideas to change up this recipe- In pan with chopped cabbage and onions I used 1 stcik of butter with 1/2 tsp of salt and pepper. I cooked seperatly the meat with some seasoning and parsley, the rice, and the condensed tomato soup which I added milk and 1/4c of flour to help thicken. (I found it dificult to find "cream of tomato soup") I than added together in a pan the cooked meat (drained), rice, and thickened tomato soup mixed it real good while heating. *No water as the original recipe calls for. I than layered into the cassarole dish, once finished with the layers I crushed 1/2 box of original crutons and topped the cassarole with them. This time it was a hit and the family can't wait till the next tiem I make it. I hope these tips will help those of you who did not care for this recipe- for all in all it is a great recipe just needed
My husband thought this was o.k., but I did not like it- it does not tast like the stuffed cabbage rolls - more like cabbage rice, my dog Sadie loved it though! I would skip the salad dressing if I ever made anything similar to this....
Made this dish tonight and my family loved it. I added a rosemary spice mixture, about 2 tablespoons. We want to try the cabbage cooked in pan with Catalina dressing(without honey) instead of italian. Alsoadd more a little more salt and alot of ground pepper.
My family found it bland. Nothing special about it. Probably won't make it again.
